The Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network is a nationally based education organization that ensures that schools are a safe for LGBTQ students who may feel bullied, discriminated against, and/or fall through the cracks.

Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is a nationally based organization that lobbies on behalf of the LGBTQ community, mobilizes action in diverse communities, and increase public awareness through education and communication.

Family Equality Council

The Family Equality Council is a nationally based organization that supports and represents LGBTQ families to change attitudes and policies to ensure that all families are respected.

PLAG National

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is a nationally based organization that provides the LGBTQ community with crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to ages 13-24.

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

The National Gay and Lesbian Talk Force is a grassroots organization that lobbies on behalf of the LGBTQ community by pushing pro-LGBTQ legislation and defeat anti-LGBTQ initiatives and promoting advances toward full freedom, justice and quality.

The Burgundy Crescent is an organization that serves the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area by offering a supportive service for LGBTQ individuals as well as cultivating community support through volunteer opportunities.

Whitman Walker provides community health services in the Washington, DC community and specialize in their focus on LGBTQ individuals and HIV care.


The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL) serves the Washington, DC LGBTQ community by promoting self-confident, health and productive lives for youth by focusing on counseling & support, life skills & leadership development, health & wellness education, safe social activities, and community outreach education.
